Best Snickerdoodle Cookie Recipe
Updated: May 13, 2020
Recently, I've started to find entertainment in cooking and baking. It's always fun to create masterpieces for your family and friends. These cookies are some of the tastiest cookies I've made. A similar dough to chocolate chip cookies, these desserts are soft, chewy, and crispy on the outside. They are perfect for a cold and foggy day with a glass of milk. My family has a very European taste, and they aren't fans of American desserts. But these cookies were all eaten the moment I took them out of the oven. This recipe is from the famous youtube channel Tasty. I added a couple of notes to make these cookies even better.
Here is a list of the ingredients: For 24 cookies COOKIE DOUGH
3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 cup butter, softened
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup of sugar
⅓ cup brown sugar
2 eggs
3 cups flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
2 teaspoons baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
CINNAMON SUGAR MIX
¼ cup of sugar
1 ½ tablespoons cinnamon
Instructions:
In a small bowl, mix together the ingredients for the cinnamon sugar mix until evenly incorporated. Set aside.
Now make the cookie dough, in a large mixing bowl, whip the butter with vanilla until light and fluffy.
Add the sugar and brown sugar and mix until well incorporated.
Add the eggs and stir until thoroughly incorporated.
Using a sift add the flour, cream of tartar, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt and sift into the dough. Combine until evenly mixed.
Cover with plastic wrap and chill. Chilling should not be skipped because it gives the dough more flavor.
Preheat the oven to 375˚F (190˚C).
Using your hands, roll dough into ping pong sized balls.
Dip the dough into cinnamon-sugar mixture and roll around covering the dough ball completely.
Take a spoon and flatten out the dough. The dough should be a little more than one inch thick.
Place cookie dough on parchment paper-lined baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
Allow to cool and serve.
Enjoy!
